Planning for the 2015 Seattle Erotic Art Festival is well under way. We have many volunteer opportunities ranging from ongoing positions throughout the year, to pre-event set-up, to assistance during the event, to post-event / strike. Whether you can help for just a few hours or have time to give every week, we have a position for you.
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, communities and abilities; however, this year we are only accepting volunteers over 21 years of age.
All Hands Volunteer Meeting – Saturday April 4, Noon – 3pm
These are important and essential meetings (but not mandatory) for anyone volunteering for the Festival. You will have an opportunity to meet the festival leadership and team leads, hear the latest plans for 2015, get a sneak peak of some of the accepted art, get your questions answered, sign up for shifts, and attend breakout sessions for various teams for training.
SEAF Volunteer Meeting and Training Saturday April 4th noon-3pm – Center for Sex Positive Culture Main Space
*Art Handlers, Security, and Cashiers Trainings are immediately following the group meeting. If you can’t make the meeting, take a look at at the open shifts here.
Festival load in, setup and that jazz
Some of these times are tentative, but the dates are set.
Monday Apr 20th Truck Load at CSPC – Noon-8pm
Load in and setup: Tuesday Apr 21st 9am-11pm
Load in and setup: Wednesday Apr 22nd 9am-11pm
Load in and setup: Thursday Apr 23rd from 9am-5pm.
Artist Reception & Opening Gala: Thursday Apr 23rd from 7pm-1am

Our venue again this year is the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall.

All volunteers:
Invitation (plus guest) to the Volunteer appreciation party this summer.
Invitation to attend the Artist Reception for VIP’s and Art Activists on Thursday Apr 23rd from 7pm-8pm
Access (during your shift) to the volunteer lounge with snacks and water.
Volunteer hours worked prior to Festival:
8 hrs prior to Festival: Friday ticket
16 hrs prior to Festival: Friday or Saturday ticket
20+ hours during set up and receive a Festival Pass (full access to the Festival at the Exhibition Hall)
Volunteer hours during Festival:
One shift during Festival: Attend that day free (before and after your shift)
Strike volunteers:
Volunteer appreciation party, invitation to Hard Hat Opening on Thursday. One ticket to Seduction for each 8 hours worked.
Note: Tickets are non-transferable.
