Seattle Poetry Slam: Erotic Edition
Have you ever attended a poetry slam? The celebrated group Seattle Poetry Slam is partnering with the Festival to produce a special erotic edition just for the 10th anniversary event.
Join us on Saturday, June 16 (the Festival’s opening day!) from 7-9pm… right before our vibrant after-party “LOVE” begins.
Award-winning performer Amber Flame will be the emcee, and we will have eight seasoned slam poets whose work is sexy and delivery is captivating. You’ll love these talented performers.
We will recruit audience members to serve as judges, so be ready: you might be invited to join this interactive experience!
What is a Poetry Slam?
Their poems are sexy and their delivery is captivating… don’t miss it!
The Slam is a performance poetry competition where each poet has a 3 minute time limit to perform a poem, earning a score between 0 and 10 points. Poets must perform their own original work, without props, costumes or musical accompaniment.
Scores are awarded by randomly-picked judges from the audience. Scores are based on content, originality and performance.
The winning poet and first runner up will receive a sexy prize.
While the slam can sometimes get heated and competitive, this community always holds true to the famous words of Slam Poet Allan Wolff:
THE POINT IS NOT THE POINTS,
THE POINT IS THE POETRY
