The Ambient Performance Experience…
Small, organic performances that seem to
bubble up randomly, allowing you to feel truly 
immersed in art. They go just as easily as they come, leaving you with an ever lingering desire for more. Just when you think you won’t get that “more” that you’re looking for, our performance troupe magically appears before you, ready to take you on another exhilarating erotic journey. These pop-up performances are curated by our Maven of Ambient Magic, Lesley Carmichael. Lesley provides her take on the experience in this illustrious description:
Erotic art is all around you at the Festival… on the stage, on podiums and walls and screens… even right there behind you! Our anonymous troupe will delight you with tiny, surprising performances all around the Festival floor. We are here to share moments with you: hyper-local experiences of love and lust, of beauty, of intensity and consent and connection, of passion and humor. We’ll be just around that corner over there…
So what kind of ambient acts might you see at our festival this year? While we don’t want to completely
ruin the surprise, a little tease shouldn’t hurt:
- Be on the lookout for a little consensual non-consent in the
form of a few people and a couple of burlap sacks - An introspectively erotic movement piece, performed by people who are quite literally, sewn together
- We’re bringing back a favorite; a roving art brigade that will delight the crowd with erotic sketching
- Perhaps you’ll come across our dirty aria, performed by a set of sexy singers
- Explore the ever-controversial combination of technology, eroticism, and written word in our interactive sexting station
- And more!
