At the Seattle Erotic Art Festival, naked is kind of normal and all, so let’s amp it up. Throughout the festival there will be both scheduled and spontaneous life drawing sessions. We’ll start Friday night with the restraint and tension of strait jackets — can you meet the challenge of seeing the body when it can’t be seen?
Later Friday night, The Chair Project is expected to morph into a life drawing session. And the women in the strait jackets will be dropping in for some more graphite time.
Saturday afternoon, we give you two hours of Rope Art Salon. Capture the process of tying or study the interplay of flesh and knots.
Sunday there will be an hour or so of life drawing to start the day, and more is in the works.
- All sessions are included in the price of admission.
Artists with student ID will be admitted during Gallery Hours at no charge. Gallery hours are noon to 6pm on Saturday and noon to 4pm on Sunday. - Poses will be range from brief sketches to 20 minutes and are monitored but uninstructed.
- You are welcome to use our paper and pencils, or bring your own.
- Other materials are welcome, but please be kind to our housekeeping crew.
- We have a very accommodating coat check crew. You can leave your things with them when it’s time to explore the art exhibition.
- Photography?? Nope. Our models have not agreed to be photographed, and the festival has no tolerance for consent violations.
- Most sessions will be in Rm. 1618 but watch for our ambient performers to pop up in unusual places.
- Sessions are first come, first served. There should be room for two dozen artists, ish.
