Created to highlight the written word as its own distinct art form, our Literary Art Exhibition features the work of poets, playwrights, and authors from around the globe.

These hand-selected works are presented on paper and in intimate readings, like story time for grown-ups – a beautiful reminder that sometimes, the most intimate thing you can do is simply… listen.

Enjoying Literary Art at the Festival

The Festival Schedule has the exact times of all Literary Events.

The Literary Lair offers a seductive and intimate setting for live readings of accepted Literary art. Lush seating in a semi-enclosed space will provide you the opportunity to meet the accepted Literary Artists and hear them give voice their literary works during the Festival. Artists will be in the Lair Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Audio Erotic is a listening station devoted to your aural enjoyment of the 2017 Literary Art Exhibition. Not all accepted artists are able to attend the event, so this year the Festival offered accepted Literary Artists the opportunity to create audio recordings of their accepted works. Look for the listening station in the Literary Lair.

The Writer’s Wanderlust tour is curated and hosted by Terry Johnson, Festival Literary Artist Alumni. Festival 2017 and Guest Literary Artists are invited to view the exhibition art prior to the Festival. The inspired writings of these viewing make up the spoken word performances of these tours.

Authors’ Reading Friday, April 28 — 6:30pm

Enjoy an hour of readings from the 2017 Literary Anthology contributors. In the authors own voice, their writings come to life.

Lecture Saturday, April 29 — 4pm:

Trans Positive Sex

Join Tobi Hill-Meyer, editor of Nerve Endings: The New Trans Erotic, for an adult-oriented sex education workshop designed from the ground up with trans people in mind.

Book Reading and Signing Saturday, April 29 — 6:30pm:

Tobi Hill-Meyer – Nerve Endings: The New Trans Erotic

A trans woman watches her sleeping lover and contemplates the moment of his departure. A genderqueer sissy fantasizes alone about connection in their hotel room. A trans woman adjunct professor and sex worker is hired for a sex party held by her college’s philosophy department. A trans boy has a Craigslist hookup with a queen embarked on detransition. A bodiless AI announces its gender, takes a lover, and works to revolutionize the world.

Presented here are thirty stories—edited and with an introduction by Tobi Hill-Meyer—that offer revolutionary erotic fantasies by trans people, about trans people, and for trans people at the crossroads of history, biology, anxiety, and love.

Spoken word performance Sunday, April 30 — CANCELED

It is with great regret that we announce that this reading has been canceled due to a pressing family matter. We encourage you to peruse Oralicious in the Festival Store.

Tatiana – Oralicious: The Truth About Oral Sex, Intimacy and Passion

News flash! Oral sex is still taboo in the 21st century, and sexual gratification is no longer a “men’s only” club. Today, women also want to enjoy the Pleasure Journey of climaxing during sex, especially after experiencing amazing oral sex.

Our bodies are designed to enjoy many great pleasures, and one way is by way of sexual stimulation. Oral sex is not a bad or disgusting thing that we are made to believe. Far from the case…
