New Erotic Film Festival – SECS Fest

The Seattle Erotic Cinema Society (SECS) celebrates the artistry of erotic cinema while inspiring diverse communities to engage in adult conversations about sex. SECS was born out of the Seattle Erotic Art Festival, and is led by the 2013 and 2014 Erotic Film Program Curator, DeAnna Berger. DeAnna and her team decided that the filmmakers and fans of erotic film would be better served by a dedicated festival. The short film programs hosted by the Festival were always very popular. The Festival is pleased to see these offerings expanded into a full fledged film festival.

SECS FEST is a sex-positive international film festival celebrating the artistry of erotic cinema while inspiring diverse communities to engage in adult conversations about sex.

The first SECS FEST will be held September 8 – 10, 2017 in the historic Grand Illusion Cinema. The Grand Illusion, Seattle’s oldest continually running movie theater, currently hosts SECS monthly film screenings. We are excited to be partnered with a venue of such a rich tradition in supporting cinema.

SECS FEST showcases films that reflect the diversity of human sexuality. We look forward to celebrating a broad range of sexual practices and orientations. SECS FEST will span all styles and genre of film, both in short and feature formats. Special attention will be given to films that defy audience expectations for sexually explicit films. Curators also have a very special plan for a special program, exploring the long history of sex in the cinema.

Submissions Are Open Now
