The 2016 Call for Entries is Almost Here!

Artists, are you ready? SEAF 2016 preparation is now underway, and that means it’s almost time to submit your masterpieces in our Call for Art. Beginning December 1^st at 12:00PM PST, the selection committees will accept visual, literary, installation, performance, film, and store art entries for consideration. This Call for Art closes January 17^th, 2016.

Fee for entry is $30 for visual, installation, literary, and store artists (free for film and performance art), and covers all works submitted for the category, up to the maximum allowed. Already have a tantalizing piece created or in progress? Early submission is highly encouraged! Take advantage of our $10 early bird discount if you submit your entry between December 1^st and December 13^th.

Artist Guidelines

• Artists do not need to attend the Festival to be accepted (although we’d love to see you there)
• Artists who reside outside North America, and invited artists, do not pay a submission fee
• Artists may submit for as many Calls for Art as they wish, but note that each Call for Entries has distinct requirements and may have additional submission fees
• Artists may submit work only of their own creation
• Art previously exhibited at the Festival will not be considered for the exhibition but may be considered for the Festival Store
• Only electronic entries submitted via our online entry system will be accepted
• Any image with a watermark that obscures the image or identifies the artist will be rejected. Signatures on original works of art such as paintings and illustrations are allowable
• Submissions may be edited up until their Call for Entries closes
• Artists must provide a price for each submitted piece
• Artists may use a pseudonym or professional name; legal name will be kept confidential
• Submission fees are non-refundable
• All artists and any models depicted in art must be 18 years old or older as of January 17, 2016
• For all accepted, invited, and Store art sold during or as a direct result of the Festival, the Festival receives a 40% commission fee
