It’s that most wonderful time of the year! No, not that time. We of course refer to the Seattle Erotic Art Festival’s Call For Art! 46 glorious days of sharing your delightfully lascivious creations with us, and helping us build an evocative #SEAF2020!
We are absolutely beside ourselves with excitement over your art! So, whether you are coming to our little art party for the first time or have been submitting for years, here are the details you need to know! The Call For Art will run from December 1st to January 15th. During this time we will be accepting Visual, Literary, Installation, and Store art through our portal, which will be open for business on December 1st. Performance and Interactive artists, your submission process will be a little different this year in that you will also be going through the portal, and we have some extra instructions for you to ease the transition. A couple of new things this year! We will be bringing back the Touch Gallery! In the Touch Gallery, attendees are invited to experience sensual art via their hands. We provide blindfolds and tours through the gallery, which will be filled with sculptures that feel sensual and erotic (they will also be allowed to look with their eyes). Artwork in the Touch Gallery can be figurative, abstract, explicit, or textured, on pedestals or wall-hanging. If you would like to have your sculpture considered for the Touch Gallery, please indicate so in the notes on your submission.
Also, to you lovely creators of film, we are changing things up a bit this year. As part of SEAF 2020 we will be holding a matinee screening of selected short films on Sunday, April 26, 2020. To submit a short film for selection it must be submitted through the artist portal as an installation. Be aware, we can only accommodate a limited number of films. Please traipse over to the information page to get all the details on how to best submit your film.
We will be offering a special Early Bird discounted fee of $18 for submissions before Dec. 15. After the 15th, the submission fee with be $36. Your fee allows you to submit up to 5 works to the Festival. A breakdown of our fees and all corresponding deadlines can be found right over here.
