Sneak Preview

Katheryn Reed as Kat Gotchurtung

One of the most exciting parts of this evening, is the preview of what SEAF2018 will offer. A slideshow of accepted and invited visual artists will be playing throughout the evening. Jurors and curators will be on hand to share stories about why particular pieces of art were chosen. The Festival Director will reveal exciting details of festival plans. Art Activists have the first opportunity to purchase visual art at the Black Tie Affair.  What better way to avoid the disappointment of seeing a red dot on the piece of art you fall in love with?

Art Docents will be on hand to answer questions about art and process sales. All art that is purchased at the Black Tie Affair will be available for pick up at the end of the Festival on Sunday, April 29th. Art Activists that cannot join us at the Affair will be provided an online gallery to preview the art.

Entertainment for the Evening

Performances curated by Jesse Belle-Jones, Seattle Erotic Art Festival’s Stage Performance Director, are sure to astound and amaze, leaving you breathless for what is to come at the Festival. Our Interactive Performance Curator, Aimee Ketola,

Ms. Olivia D. Hamilton

is busy gathering up ambient artists to interact with you and bring more joy and performance to the event on a more intimate level.

We are excited for aerialist Katheryn Reed as Kat Gotchurtung, dancing sensation TAQUEET$!, and musician Olivia Hamilton to share their talents with you!

The evening begins with aerial antics.

Katheryn Reed is a local Clown, Creator and Choreographer. Specializing in Aerial, Acrobatics and alliteration. She recently produced and performed a solo show with Comedy, Cyr wheel, Dart throwing, Dance, live music, Trapeze and Theater of all things. Follow her online to find out how you can catch her next.

And then the party moves upstairs, to the loft.

Collin Provence

Ms. Olivia D. Hamilton is a Seattle-based bassist and vocalist. She is an active recording artist, plays for local theatres, and performs with various orchestras, jazz ensembles, and house bands (including Tuesday Tease’s very own Pervana) as well as maintaining a private teaching studio. Some favourite credits include SCT’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Howl’s Moving Castle, The Maltese Falcon, The Wild Party, Shrek, Rocky Horror, Hairspray, Avenue Q, Next to Normal, Carrie: The Musical, Urinetown, In the Heights, Billy Elliott, Into the Woods, and Pump Boys and Dinettes. When she isn’t playing music she is out in nature. Or dancing. Or dancing out in nature. Anything to keep the inner hippie happy!

Olivia’s accompanying pianist is Collin Provence.

And then we move back down to the main floor from the final performance by the fabulous, TAQUEET$!

Born and raised in Seattle, TAQUEET$! is a dancer with a style all her own. As a child she studied at Pacific Northwest Ballet and Spectrum Dance. Later she became a member of TTAAPP central, now known as Northwest Tap Connection. The tag line “Physical Representation Of Sound” explains her dance style as she brings songs to life through movement. With a foundation mostly rooted in hip hop, wave, and locking, elements from her youth in tap and ballet, as well as her favorite parts of a variety of styles new and old can be identified in a TAQUEET$! performance piece. She got her professional start assisting Fly Moon Royalty, a local musical duo at their live shows, blessing almost every stage in Seattle. Her latest work is starring alongside a bevy of local top notch performers in Boom Boom LaRoux production Dear White People.

Interwoven throughout the evening will be performances by our Ambient and Interactive performance troupe. Some performances will be happening in the space to be enjoyed as you walk past. Other performers will offer you the chance to interact with them and be a part of their delightful shenanigans.

Dress to Impress!

Our idea of “black tie” is more risqué than the average cocktail party, so feel free to wear those outfits you don’t normally get to pull out of your closet! For of those of your who enjoy costuming more than formal- or fetish-wear, we invite you to join us by dressing on a cabaret theme. Creative interpretation is encouraged.
