The dust is just barely beginning to settle from the end of the Call for Art, the juries and curators have deliberated and are submitting their final choices, and back at the Gallery we are getting ready for the next big event in our countdown to April’s festivities. I of course mean everybody’s favorite February event, the Black Tie Affair. What, what did you think I was going to say?
Please join us on February 29 for a glittering evening of sips and nibbles, performances, and a sneak peek at the accepted and invited Visual Art that will be gracing the walls of the 2020 Seattle Erotic Art Festival. The Black Tie Affair is a sumptuous and dressed up event, with champagne and socializing. We will also be honoring our newest Master of Erotic Art.
This year we will be inducting Stasia Burrington into the Masters of Erotic Art. Stasia is a talented artist and illustrator, and will be joining the ranks of other erotically inspired artists such as The Luminous Pariah, John Santerineross, and Barbara Nitke. The Masters of Erotic Art are artists who have elevated the erotic within their art form. We are honored and delighted to share their art each year at the festival.
The Black Tie Affair is free to our Art Activists. Not familiar with the Art Activist Society? Art Activists get news about the festival first, as well as VIP entry. Art Activists also get the first chance to purchase the art (starting at the Black Tie Affair). There will be a slideshow of the accepted and invited exhibition art for everyone’s viewing pleasure. An art docent will be on hand to take payment and reserve any art purchased. When the art is hung at SEAF 2020, it will go up with a red dot, signifying its sold status. All purchased art will be picked up on Sunday, April 26th at the conclusion of the festival.
