The Return of Film to SEAF!

Calling all filmmakers! Whether you are a seasoned professional, just getting started in your career, or are a joyful amateur, if you make films featuring themes of sex, sexuality, relationships, gender, orientation, identity, or any combination thereof, we want you to submit your film to SEAF 2022!

The Seattle Erotic Art Festival, along with its parent organization the Pan Eros Foundation, is excited to present the first annual Pan Eros Film Festival at the SIFF Film Center in the Seattle Center during the 20th annual Seattle Erotic Art Festival. Our goal is to feature erotic art films that will engage you, titillate you, and make you think.

Submission Details

This particular call for entries is different from the usual SEAF Call For Art. (Please note that our Artist Portal does not have a Film category.)

  • All film submissions must be entered via Film Freeway.
  • We are accepting two types of submissions this year: Short Film and Silent Film.
  • The call for film entries is open now!
  • There is no submission fee for consideration.
  • Film entries will be accepted through March 15th, 2022.
  • Notifications of acceptance will be sent out on April 1st.

SHORT FILM:

A selection of short films under 10 minutes in length will be screened in-person at the Pan Eros Film Festival in SIFF Film Center on April 28, 2022. We strongly encourage story-telling that tells unique narratives across the broad spectrum of gender and human sexuality. Short films of all genres are permitted.

SILENT FILM:

A selection of silent films under 10 minutes in length will be shown continuously for three days at the Seattle Erotic Art Festival in Exhibition Hall from April 29 to May 1, 2022. Films not intended to be silent films at their creation but have audio removed are acceptable as entries.

The Pan Eros Film Festival is especially interested in uplifting and centering traditionally marginalized voices and stories.

About our Film Director and Curator

Brodin Petrichor (he/him) is not originally from the Pacific Northwest, but this cheeky bisexual now calls Seattle home. A longtime lover of film and erotic art, he has volunteered with SEAF since 2015, usually slinging drinks from behind the bar. Along with being a SEAF Alumnus, his art has been recently featured in festivals in Seattle, Portugal, France, and Bellingham. Brodin’s work draws upon his strict evangelical upbringing to untangle feelings of repression and the power of queer acceptance.
