The Call for Art closes tonight!

This is it!  The final countdown!  Someone cue up Europe!  Or any of the dozens of bands who have covered the song in the ensuing years.  I think there’s a Postmodern Jukebox cover?  Anyway, we’re getting off subject.  Ahem!

The Call for Art ends tonight, my delightful and deviant creatives!  You have until 11 p.m. PST to begin your final submissions.  There will be a grace period of about an hour to finish uploading images and checking your biography for name consistency (we talked about this earlier), and then it’s done!  Fini!

Some quick final bits of advice:

DO double check your entry (title, bio, the actual document for literary) one final time for spelling and grammar.

DO submit finished works of art.  While some categories like Installations accept proposals, all visual and literary art entries should be the finished product.

DO submit to the festival store!  It’s a great way to make extra sales or offer pieces that don’t work for the exhibition, like stickers or small prints or cards.

DO NOT try to submit multiple pieces of art in one submission.  You are allowed five separate submissions per category and fee, and each one must be for one piece of art.

DO NOT submit installation pieces as visual art.  This includes film!

DO NOT wait until the last min- oh, wait, we all did that.  Never mind!

Also, our fabulous director and a small number of her minions will be having a little Art Submission Party at Gallery Erato from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. to make sure you have all the help you need!  If you are in the Seattle area, drop on by!  If you are not, someone will still be manning the phones and email.

Remember, if you have questions about submitting your art, start at our info page over here. If that doesn’t help, you can always contact us via email ([email protected]) or you can call us at (206) 229-2185.  Now go!  The clock is ticking!  Send in your art!
