Oh my. The trucks are being loaded with artwork, the walls and installations are going up, and the performers are putting their final touches on their pieces. Can you believe the 2016 Seattle Erotic Art Festival starts this Friday? We can’t wait to open our doors and treat you to a weekend of astounding art and other delightful surprises. So, are you ready? Here’s a few tips to make the most of your festival experience.
What will I see? What Should I Wear?
The Seattle Erotic Art Festival is a three day event celebrating the world’s finest erotic art, crossing a wide-range of artistic spectrums (visual, literary, performance, etc.). Daytime hours allow you to casually peruse the art and explore our array of entertainment options. At night, think of the event as more of a “sexy art party”, filled with DJs, performers, bartenders, an enthusiastic crowd, and of course, a plethora of art to explore.
Be ready to view and experience art that turns you on, turns you off, makes you laugh, makes you think, and everything in between. Our art is meant to ignite the brain and spark up conversation. Immerse yourself.
Now that you know what to expect, you’re probably wondering what you should wear to an event like this. Our guests tend to wear it all: from a t-shirt and jeans, to high fetish attire, to pasties and underwear! As long as you aren’t showing any bare genitalia (Washington’s rule, not ours!), we will accept you with open arms. The most important thing is to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and sexy, because…we like sexy. If you’re still curious about festival attire, feel free to check out photos from our past events.
New This Year (Brush Strokes)
As mentioned, we have quite a few surprises up our sleeve. Here’s a sampling of what’s new at the festival this year:
- The Adare Experience – portraits, book readings, live painting, open discussions, and performances in a special gallery all curated by artist Rose Adare.
- Brush Strokes – leave the festival with a great souvenir, created by you! Brush Strokes tickets must be purchased separately. You can find ticket information for Brush Strokes at the link provided.
- La Petite Seduction – a late night dance club right inside the festival!
- 1618 – hands on events and activities for all. Write love letters, participate in live drawings, and make naughty crafts!
- Aaaahz! – what was “Sensation City” in previous years comes back fully redesigned and ready to take you on an interactive erotic experience.
