The Festival Is Here!

The Seattle Erotic Art Festival 2014 opens to the public tomorrow night, Friday, May 30th, with our 5PM Happy Hour, kicking off an incredible weekend of art, luxury, and sensual delight.

We understand, you may be overwhelmed deciding which nights are your best nights to shake your thang to the beats we drop. Should you go on Friday or Saturday? Wait, Sunday is an option too? Oye!  How to decide?

To help you out, we’ve put together a few of the best things we see happening this weekend. This isn’t a comprehensive list, of course! Just the highlights of a very impressive weekend schedule

  • Informational and Educational Art Tours

We have tour guides including our Art Docents, the 2014 Masters of Erotic Art, Festival Director Sophia Iannicelli, and other special guests, available to provide context for the work and answer questions.

Tours will start at these times:

    7PM and 8PM Friday, May 30th
    1PM, 2PM, 4PM, 6PM, 7PM,and 8PM Saturday, May 31st
    11AM, 12PM, 2PM & 3PM Sunday, June 1st

  • Sunday Brunch
There’s no better way to spend a Sunday than sipping mimosas and noshing with fellow erotic art enthusiasts, while listening to our curated Literary Readings, and enjoying David Steinberg’s presentation about being a photographer inside “The Intimate Kink.com.”

  • Two Different Late Night Vibes
On Friday night at 10:45, we’ve lined up a Fusion Dance lesson with Joshua Sacks of the Seattle Fusion Experiment. Then, starting at 11:00 we will be hosting Late Night at the Festival with DJ David Keogh.
On Saturday night, participate in the SHOEDOWN starting at 9PM, then groove the night away to music curated by Raymond Forbes.

  • Interactive Installations
On Friday from 6PM – 10PM and Saturday from 12PM – 10PM we will have an installation called “Peep Show.” This will be a live painting demonstration throughout the day by John Osgood and Seb Barnett. Ever wanted to be part of the art instead of an observer? Here’s your chance!

  • Slinky and Sexy Performances
Throughout the evening and into the night we will see beautiful performances from several different types of artists. We will have ambient dancers all around the Festival in addition to a mainstage with performers like Afrodisiac, Verotica143, Gender Tender, , Cory Cavazos and Jesse-Belle Jones, and Joie D’Vivre & V.

  • Sensation City
If you feel so inclined, the Center for Sex Positive Culture will have several experts on staff to let you get a little taste of erotic wax, electrical, and rope play. You can even get a souvenir decorative rope harness to wear and take home! Observation is absolutely a valid form of participation, and we encourage you to explore
    new territory.

  • Erotic Film Showcase
We will have a curated selection of films for you to review and experience. Hang out on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and into the evening for the reveal of our special features and experimental works.

  • First Ever Glass-work Showcase
Our visual art event will include our first ever all-glass special exhibition, curated by local artist Steve Jensen. We are truly excited to debut this new addition for our 2014 Festival.

  • Become an Art Collector
Whether it be purchasing something extraordinary from our Festival Store, selecting your first piece of art, or expertly snagging the best piece at the show, we have a little bit of something for everyone. We will have catalogues available in the Festival Store so you won’t forget any aspect of our 2014 show.

  • A Safe Place for Self-Expression

You are encouraged to attend expressing whatever identity makes you most comfortable. Our artists are expressing themselves in their own manner, and we have happily created a safe space for you to do the same. Our vibrant community is positive and uplifting. If you have any questions about attire, behavior, or just what to expect at our one-of-a-kind event, please consult our Visitor FAQ.

Above all, we want to see you thrive in an accepting and welcoming environment. Feel free to ask any of our staff or volunteers questions about the art or the schedule. We aim to bring you great conversations in an excellent venue with tasty drinks and amazing entertainment.
